Encouraging everyone to embrace the joy of drawing.

Get Drawing! wants everyone to embrace the joy of drawing. As passionate drawing advocates, we offer educational resources, training, and programs that foster creativity and self-confidence for students and their teachers.

Drawing Advocacy

Get Drawing!

We’re drawing advocates who believe in the transformative power of art to spark creativity, build confidence, sharpen critical thinking, and drive social change. As lifelong doodlers, we envision a world where drawing is embedded in all middle- and high-school curricula.  “I can’t draw” is replaced with “Let me draw that idea out.'"

At Get Drawing!, we want everyone to embrace the joy of drawing! We’re drawing advocates who believe in the transformative power of art to foster creativity, build self-confidence, boost critical thinking, and catalyze social change. We combine socio-emotional, trauma-informed practices to offer resources and programming that:

  • Address the drawing crisis—when many pre-teens give up drawing because they feel their work isn't good enough.

  • Support art educators to foster safe, inclusive, and joyful classrooms.

  • Champion teens to deepen their creative practice through collaboration and mentorship.

We take on the Drawing Crisis

The drawing crisis refers to when children around ages 9 to 13 lose interest in drawing. Their artistic confidence wavers because they compare their art to others: peers, adults, and more realistic representations of the world around them.
