Meet the Team

  • Pablo Garcia

    PRESIDENT

    Pablo Garcia has been drawing his whole life. Since 2013, he has produced the NeoLucida, an optical drawing tool based on historical technology. His experience conducting drawing workshops around the world with the NeoLucida inspired new approaches to drawing education. For his research, Pablo has been named a Fulbright Distinguished Scholar and awarded a National Endowment for the Humanities Fellowship. He holds degrees from Cornell and Princeton Universities. Pablo is currently an Associate Professor at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

  • Jennifer Wright

    EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

    Jennifer Wright has over twenty years experience developing educational programming to forge creative and analytical pathways for students. She developed and directed STEM programming at Drexel University and the University of Michigan Medical School, secured funding then directed spoken word workshops for Pittsburgh Public Schools, crafted and then funded a cutting-edge food justice research seminar for high school seniors, and then built out career exploration programming. She’s coached colleagues, mentored teachers, and counseled high schoolers through post-secondary decisions. She’s certified to teach K-12 special education, 6-12 English education, and holds a master’s degree in creative writing from Iowa State University and a masters degree in curriculum and instruction from CUNY: Brooklyn College.

  • Tasha Deemer

    PROGRAM OFFICER

    Tasha Deemer is a practicing artist turned art therapist. Over the course of her career, she’s developed and led art programming for elementary, middle school, and high school students ranging from drawing, painting, ceramics, creative writing, and gardening. Her approach considers the emotional landscape of her young artists, crafting to build confidence, emotional expression, and compassion for fellow artists. She is currently seeking her art therapy and LSW certification.
